Catalina Magnet High School invites you to join us at Dell Ulrich Golf Course for a traditional Cross Country race on one of the premier courses in the state. The 5K course is a shortened version of the University of Arizona course that has been the site of both the Dave Murray Invitational and the Pac Ten Championships. It is very similar to the High School State Meet course and consists almost entirely of grass with some short but challenging hills. There will be food booths, vendor booths, and music.
The event is open to High School Athletes and the General Public.Kids 12 and under participate for free in any event.

From the TOWN between the tracks comes the RUN between the tracks!
We first did the Pink Ribbon Run in San Diego for four years in memory of our friend Marcie Cokkinis. When my wife was diagnosed with breast cancer this past September, I felt it was time to bring it back. This year we will be honoring all the women in our community that have fought, are fighting or have lost their battle with breast cancer.
The run/walk starts on the track at Cienega High School and ends on the track in the stadium at Empire High School. This run benefits Cienega High School's "Cats Hope" Fund and a donation will also be made to a Southern Arizona organization which supports breast cancer research and services. Registration and bib number pick up with be at Empire High School. Shuttle buses will be provided to Cienega High before the race only.

This is a beautiful run along the desert scenery with the view of the Gila Ridge Mountains. We would like the Yuma Community to "Get out for the Kids" and walk or run for our school. The funds raised for this event will directly benefit our school by providing funds not covered in the District budget such as field trips, and school supplies.
The 1 mile Fun run is for children 12 & under and is FREE! ($8.00 if they want a t-shirt). The start time for the Fun Run is 8:15 am. Register at www.taggrun.com or at Sunrise Elementary School from now until race day.
The 5K will begin at 08:30 am and will have the entire street of E 28th and part of 10E through road closures. This will be a professionally timed and USATF sanctioned event. T-shirt guaranteed until 10/4/2010. Bib pick-up and registration begins at 07:30 am on race day, 11/6/2010, but pre-registration is highly encouraged. Awards given to top three finishers. Age groups begin at 12 & under and end at 70 plus. Refreshments and music to follow race! Come and enjoy our community and provide a healthy role model for our students.

Be a part of this Run, come run through the Pecan orchard in December in all it's fall colors... The race route will travel a scenic course on the orchards south of Sahuarita Road on dirt roads and trails through the pecan orchards, giving runners a unique opportunity to see the farm and enjoy the changing colors of the leaves. The Pecan Classic 8.5 features prize money and unique awards to the top three men and top three women. Awards to top three finishers in each division in the Pecan Classic 8.5 and 3.7. The Nut Run features ribbons to all participants. All race participants will receive a FREE t-shirt which is guaranteed to all who pre-register by 11/5/2010, pecans and much more!
The Sahuarita Pecan Festival will be held on Saturday, November 20th and 21st, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Festival will celebrate the culture, cuisine and music of the Santa Cruz Valley. Designed to be fun for all ages, live entertainment and family-friendly activities, including real harvest demonstrations, hayrides and games, will be available for children and adults to enjoy. A variety of regional food and pecan-related dishes will be showcased, along with a local arts and crafts market and live music.

Day of race registration and bib number pick up will be from 5:30 - 6:25 a.m. Cars must be in the Park by 6:15 a.m. The gate will be closed for the race. The run will start at La Posta Quemada Ranch.
The beauty of the Sonoran Desert and gorgeous mountain ranges will be all around you with views of the stone ramada at the Cave and the City of Tucson to the west. All participants will get free entrance into the Park, t-shirt to pre-registered only , pass for a tour of Colossal Cave and refreshments. Awards will be three deep in all age groups. We hope you come out bring the family and make a day at the Park.
The run will benefit The CCC Museum at Colossal Cave Mountain Park and the The Shyann Kindness Project "Passing Kindness On, One Act at a Time". Bring new, unused school supplies for the Shyann Kindness Project - Back to School Supply Drive - Pencils, pens, highlighters, binders, backpacks, paper, crayons, etc...

From East 22nd Street, turn south onto scenic Old Spanish Trail and follow it about 17 miles to Colossal Cave Mountain Park. Or, take I-10 east from Tucson to exit 279 (the Vail/Wentworth exit), turn north, and follow the signs for about 7 miles.

This run benefits the Kick Cancer for Stephen Foundation which is dedicated to supporting research in an effort to find a cure for childhood cancers, including Fibrolamellar Hepatocellular Carcinoma, and providing age appropriate activities for teenage patients in the hospital.
