Fourth Annual “Green Isle Mile ” & Running with the Irish 5k

LOCATION: Downtown Tucson
5k – The Plaza@ E.9th & N.4th Ave
1 Mile – Subject to change… depending on Parade Route
START TIME: 5k: 7:30am, 1Mile 10:45am
COST: A non-perishable food item and $25 for the 1 mile or the 5k, or $35 to do both races
Free t-shirt guaranteed if pre-registered by 3/10/2013. Participants 21 and older will get one coupon for a $1.00 beer (must have I.D.) at the Festival.
This is the competition for bragging rights to the fastest mile in Tucson! The 1 mile run through beautiful downtown Tucson serves as the kick-off to the St. Patrick’s Day Parade. This will have prize money to top two men/women overall $75, $50 and First masters man/woman $50. Top 50 finishers will receive a shamrock medallion.
COURSE SUBJECT TO CHANGE – DEPENDING ON PARADE ROUTE.
The 5k will be run on the Aviation bike path. Top 100 finishers will receive a shamrock medallion.
This event benefits the Kick Cancer for Stephen Foundation and the Community Food Bank. All participants must bring a non-perishable food item as part of the entry fee.
